Clean out your closet, garage, attic--wherever you keep your stuff--on World Recycling Day! In addition to our standard offerings like the Worn Wear buyback program, repairs, and Patagonia textile recycling, On The Rise and Make & Mend are hanging out to accept non-Patagonia items.
The organizations, that offer slightly different services for re-use or recycle and take a wide variety of items, will be in store from 12-3pm to accept any unwanted items. They would also love to talk to be about recycling more generally; it is a broad term, one that encompasses a lot of different things. Come learn more about how to do so effectively!
We will also have some light refreshments in store.Â

On The RiseÂ
On The Rise’s work begins with individuals experiencing homelessness and continues if and when they secure housing. As a women’s organization, their programs have evolved toward inclusion of those historically and structurally oppressed on the basis of gender.
Â
Right now, they are keeping an eye out for flip flops, bug spray, and sunscreen. Toiletries and lightly used in-season clothing is always helpful, too!
Make & Mend
Make & Mend is working to remove the financial barriers to creation by offering gently used art supplies at an accessible rate for seasoned artists and first timers alike. Initially branded as an "Art Supply Rescue," we began collecting supplies and attending pop-ups in early 2018.
They are looking for any used art supplies that are good enough condition to be used again, or unused, unopened items that can be sold second-hand! That could be anything from corks to gel pens.
